This alteration and addition to an existing Edwardian house called for a design that created elegant, functional spaces to accomodate a growing family.
Our design proposed a double storey addition with a glazed ground floor living and dining space that engages directly with the north facing garden and utilises an existing red brick garden wall as a backdrop to the space.
The heritage section of the house has been modified to create a private master bedroom suite and a working home office.
Children’s bedrooms and a communal play room/studio are located at first floor within an elegant solid timber box floating above the glazed open plan living spaces below.
Rendered walls in soft grey tones are combined with full height frameless glass and architectural steelwork to acheive refinement and simplicity in the design.
